Google Cloud makes Privileged Access Manager generally available

Google Cloud marked Privileged Access Manager generally available. PAM lets administrators create entitlements for temporary elevated access at the organization, folder or project level, with request-and-approval workflows and the ability to revoke a grant before it expires.

Why it mattersStanding administrator access expands both the blast radius of compromised credentials and the difficulty of proving who needed privilege when. Time-bound, approval-based elevation gives platform teams a native path to reduce persistent access while retaining emergency and maintenance workflows.
